Hello and welcome to my virtual home, kindly provided by Solutium, a local provider of reliable webhosting. The site is still expanding and I’m hoping that, with some proper attention, it’ll grow to get bigger and stronger.

My name’s Fay Roberts, and I’m a performance poet, a musician, a spoken word events organiser, a small press publisher, and - during the daytime - a professional pedant. I’m based in Cambridge, UK, but I travel about a lot to get my performance thing on... For more details, you can contact me or check my poetry CV.

This site is pretty much going to be about my creative writing and performance, so don’t expect flashy graphics (although I may get round to posting the art stuff sometime soon - no promises, mind...), games, or dubious titillation. You can, however, purchase CDs and pamphlets at the shop, or items that have my words or artwork printed on them from here. (Seriously, people who I’ve never met have actually done so!)

You should come and visit to see The Antipoet do that beat poetry styling that only they can do (accompanied by the occasional guest (yes, including me!) showing how other people do it)!

LAST SHOW: 9-Sep-11, Utter! Paid Gig Final 2011 at The Monarch, 40-42 Chalk Farm Road, London. Eight poets from the South-East (well, not originally, in several cases) competed to win a cash prize, hosted by the unstoppable Richard Tyrone Jones and incredible Cat Brogan but mostly we had an awesome time watching some stellar poetry in a lovely location and, as a bonus, got to see Simon Munnery in action live!

New venture! Allographic has been launched - a new platform for speakers of the spoken word and writers of the written word and a place for them what enjoy both to have a darned good time. For more details, see website http://www.allographic.co.uk. Yes, I’m violently excited about this! :D

Chapter 35 of I Never Ordered This (previously known as “JJ” - imaginative working title, eh?) has been posted. There’s more to come - I’ve just got to get a few more hours in the day...
