Blind Poetics presents the 2nd Annual Big Night of Spoken Word

The event runs 8pm-1am the following day – I’m in the 11-midnight slot, theoretically…! 🙂
There’s just so much that’s synonymous with Edinburgh in August – lost tourists, posh drama students bunging up the Royal Mile, pubs and cafes coining it in, and, of course, the endless rain.

Now you can add the Blind Poetics Annual Big Night of Spoken Word, now in its second year.

We’ve got 6 hours’ worth of stage and we’re looking for people to step up and fill that stage for the universally acknowledged 5 minutes of open mic time. Last year we had 40 performers but this year we want to beat that number. 41 would technically beat 40 but we’re aiming even higher than that, say 44 or even 45.

We’ve already signed up almost twenty performers but there’s still time to get your name on the list. Email us blindpoetics@gmail.com.

We’ll also be launching the third of our Blind Poetics pamphlets (bring an extra £3 with you so you can buy a copy). We might have a raffle, but to be honest raffles are a pain in the arse.
