Rrranting Free at the Pear Tree
22nd August 2011 @ 4:00 pm - 5:00 pm
With sell out performances weekly, Rrrants puts on a show that defies you to not have a good time!
Whatever your tastes there is something for you. Each performer is only given five minutes to entertain and then on to the next. Comedy follows spoken word follows spoken word follows acoustic music and back round to comedy. The Rrrants Collective are a disparate band of poets, comedians, storytellers and songwriters who come together to publish and put on live anthology events weekly in both London and the South of England. Here at the festival for the first time presenting a show that is fast, furious, funny and best of all free! With a revolving cast of five minute Rrranters, this show is never the same twice!
‘Specialising in the weird and wonderful’ (Hemel Today). ‘Taking poetry to new levels’ (Stage).
Rrrants are bringing over 30 performers with them to The Free Festival, from their stable over over 160, including the fabulous The Antipoet, Rob Auton, David Florez, Victoria Laxton-Bass, Scrubberjack, Donall Dempsey, Jan Windle, Fay Roberts, Richard Frost and the Bard of Stony Stratford himself, Mr Ian Freemantle.
See website for daily cast updates.
For the most diverse show that’s just a little bit naughty in places come and join the madness that is Rrrants!
