Symposium: Objectification and Gendered Violence

Inspired by a show at Art at the ARB called Object, which will run from July 1st-Sept 30th.
Visual artwork by Jane Hellings, Jill Eastland, and six other women artists. Fay will be giving a talk/ performance/ spoken word piece about her experience of/ take on objectification of women and how it feeds into violence (in its broadest sense) against women.
Speakers confirmed so far are from Women’s Aid, Rape Crisis, a disability social enterprise, CSU Women’s Officer, Jan Hellings, Jill Eastalnd, and others to be confirmed. Women’s Aid are providing the keynote speaker, then we will speak throughout the day in panels of three for a max of 15 mins, followed by Q&A/group discussion.
