The Bard’s Switch-On Spoken Word Showcase

As part of the annual Stony Stratford Christmas Lights Switch On, there will be a showcase of poetry and storytelling in the library from 1.00-4.00pm, presented by The Bardic Council of Stony Stratford. This will bring together the finest wordsmiths in these lands to speak their words and share their thoughts, to entertain and delight, to inspire and provoke, and to drink tea and eat biscuits.
A wide selection of poetry performances, storytelling, hot beverages and snacks will be available throughout the afternoon to stave away the chill of the looming Winter so, as the long cold nights draw near, seek out the divine spark of the spoken word to guide you through the dark and see you safely to the dawning of another year.
