A few details firstly,
Money –
the door charge is a suggested donation, we actually mean that. if you don’t have it come in anyway. we want to be with you. Money wont stand in the way!
Drinks –
And we have alchohol, so that nice. free shot of tequila for all who grace the stage (even/especially open’ers)
Getting involved –
COME JOIN THE OPEN MIC! you’ll need to get in early, but we run events all over the country and we love to find new people!
Any and all of our artists can come and tour with us to Bristol, Leeds, Bournemouth and Brighton and soon Norwich and Manchester too!
The first session in our new home will include some great great things. one of which being a shot of tequila for all who grace the stage! a few others are listed below 🙂
Robbie Cornell
(acoustic)
Steadily becoming Cambridge best new blues folk export. Robbie and a stripped down (but still fully clothed) version of his band will be joining us. Playing his rich expert and mixed up confused man blues.
Massif Joe
(acoustic)
If you’ve walked the streets of Cambridge during the day you are likely to have met or at least heard Joe. He is a dedicated busker playing everything from Roots to Blues and pop covers. But tonight we get to enjoy his own creations!
Andrea King
(acoustic)
An amazing lady! inspiring lyrics and beautifully natural arrangements. We can’t wait to you all to hear her work!
Ms Mercal
(lyricist)
Strong lyrical flow and real content! She will show you how to hiphop properly. With heart!
Barnaby Bones
(acoustic)
The front man for Cambridge’s own Bineski Murder. His solo material is less instruments less hair involved but some how better, the more Barney the better i reckon.
Quintin Langley Coleman
(poet)
The first time he has joined us, this guy blew me away at The last Speak easy at the ADC just you wait 🙂 an entertaining young buck for certain.
Murder ballads
In my opinion one of the best duo’s i have ever seen come out of Cambridge. with expert slide guitar and beautifully soulful lyrics.
Rinna Keefe
(poet)
This lady won the very same slam at the ADC, and she deserved it. she was amazing! vulnerable and strong and so very well written. come see for yourself.
Our host as usual is –
Tom Walker
(the artist formerly known as ‘little rizla’) but basically he doesnt smoke enough pot nowadays for it to define his pseudonym. and no schools will let in a poetry performance artists with a name like that!
He’ll be doing songs, and poems and trying his best to get some of you of your seats and on to the stage for the first time 🙂
Come and check us out 🙂 free stickers and a well stocked bar for all to share in.
See you there Cambridge!
